Introducing the new FOGI OPTIMA

Meet the new addition to our market-leading fat, oil, and grease interceptor (FOGI) range, the FOGI OPTIMA.

We’ve modified the well-tested and proven design of our Geoceptor bypass separator and Siltguard XF silt separator to provide the ultimate solution for fat, oil and grease (FOG) management!

The Design

Our Geoceptor bypass separator is the number one bypass separator on the market in the UK. It is specified on sites across the country, and its unique design is providing significant savings while outperforming its competitors. Additionally, our recently introduced Siltguard XF (which is a modified Geoceptor chamber) is proving to be a favourite amongst our customers for effective silt management. With this in mind, we’ve taken this proven and favoured design again and modified it for FOG management.

The FOGI method

Our FOGI range operates by what’s known as passive design, which works by slowing down the flow of the wastewater. Thereby allowing it to cool and separate into three layers of fats, oils, and greases within the interceptor. This process is known as “gravity separation” and is a well-established design principle of grease traps and interceptors. This can be seen in practice by our existing FOGI and GT ranges. This process allows food waste to settle at the bottom of the unit and grease to rise to the top. Therefore, a partially cleaned layer forms in the middle of the unit where the outlet pipe begins.

What sets the FOGI OPTIMA apart?

The FOGI OPTIMA allows for multiple inlets to be connected to one chamber, which was previously impossible with all other FOGI and GT models. Additionally, the OPTIMA features a removable reticulated foam coalescing filter to provide extra filtration at the outlet. Furthermore, the vertical chamber size allows for greatly increased working capacities, ranging from 970 litres on the smallest model to 3380 litres on the largest model. This exceptional capacity retains 100% more waste solids than any other product on the market.

When can you get your hands on the FOGI OPTIMA?
