Turtle’s charity of the year 2023 – The Great North Air Ambulance Service

13th April 2023Company News

We are delighted to announce that The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) is our official charity of the year.

As a business based in the North East, it was important to us that we chose to support an organisation which delivers an essential and direct service to our local community.

Providing vital air ambulance services across the North East, Cumbria and North Yorkshire, GNAAS deliver critical pre-hospital care for those in need and responds to major incidents in communities throughout the North of England.

The GNAAS is fully charity-funded and the annual cost of running the service is £7.7m. As such, we are committed to raising funds to support the critical care team whose expertise and specialist equipment saves hundreds of patients’ lives every year.

Just last month, our Business Development Director, Dan Molyneux, attended the Newcastle Falcons vs Gloucester Rugby match at Kingston Park to volunteer and fundraise in support of The Great North Air Ambulance’s services.

In response to this successful fundraising event and Turtle’s involvement with the charity, Dan said, “It was a fantastic evening at Kingston Park. It was so humbling to be approached by members of the public who donated and shared emotional stories about how GNAAS had saved someone close to them. I have always been amazed by the incredible work that all the staff at GNAAS do, from the initial call at the base to the arrival at the scene.”

Turtle will be taking part in a variety of events throughout 2023 to support The Great North Air Ambulance Service. If you are interested in getting involved, please get in touch or support the Ready for Anything Appeal here.
