We attended the GNAAS Golf event at Close House Golf Course

16th June 2023Company News

Turtle recently attended a charity event hosted by the Great North Air Ambulance Service at Close House Golf Course in Northumberland.

As the GNAAS is our Charity of the Year for 2023, to show our support we attended the event and entered a team into the competition.

The charity hosted the golf day to help raise money to fund the services they provide to those in need.

As the name suggests, the GNAAS respond to major incident callouts by helicopter and car, transporting critical care teams to the scene to provide advanced medical care to those who need it.

Each mission can cost up to £5,000 and the annual cost of the service is £7.7 million so without support it’s extremely difficult for the team to continue to provide their essential services.

The event was a huge success with many teams signing up to play 18 holes of golf and several businesses sponsoring holes on the course and donating incredible prizes for the raffle.

Throughout the day there were various competitions, as well as presentations and prizes followed by a BBQ at the clubhouse to round off a successful day.

The GNAAS is a stand-alone charity and we were proud to be part of the day raising awareness and supporting such an amazing organisation and we are looking forward to further charity events later this year.
